WORTHING, UKEnergyPathways has confirmed its intention to apply for a gas storage license in the East Irish Sea with the UK’s North Sea Transition Authority (NSTA).

The area covered includes the company’s subsea-beach Marram gas project.

Recently the company also submitted "Out of Round" license application requests to the NSTA for two prospective gas storage areas covering the Knox and Lowry gas fields.

Both, it claims, are development ready and offer further prospective gas storage potential.

Potentially, all could be integrated into a UK Irish Sea energy storage project.
