HSM building electrified North Sea GEMS area platform

SCHIEDAM, the Netherlands—ONE-Dyas has contracted HSM Offshore Energy to construct the electrified gas production platform for the N05-A project in the Dutch North Sea.
The development is in the GEMS area, 20 km to 80 km north of the Ems estuary. The new platform will run entirely on electricity supplied from the nearby Riffgat offshore wind farm, limiting its emissions to near zero, HSM said.
Fabrication has started at the company’s yard in Schiedam, south of Rotterdam, with first gas due to be delivered to users in the Netherlands and Germany by year-end 2024.
