    New offshore wellbore data added to National Data Repository

    The NSTA announced new information from 10 offshore wellbores from the West of Shetland, the Central and Northern North Sea was added to the National Data Repository.

    ABERDEEN, Scotland — Information from 10 offshore wellbores from the West of Shetland, the Central and Northern North Sea was added to the National Data Repository in June, the North Sea Transition Authority (NSTA) announced July 8.

    This newly released data adds to the existing 5 terabytes of wellbore data, which can be used for purposes including locating potential carbon storage sites and gaining a better understanding of the subsurface.
