STAVANGER, Norway – Saipem has contracted Havfram to provide SURF support in the Egyptian sector of the Mediterranean Sea.
Havfram will deploy the laying and construction vessel Viking Neptun to support Saipem on the installation of 160 km (99.4 mi) of umbilical in over 1,400 m (4,593 ft) of water on the Zohr North gas development.
The full scope includes provision of associated construction crew, work ROVs, underdeck carousel and VLS services, support for the load-out operation in Norway, and various other engineering tasks.
Havfram has chartered Viking Neptun this year for use on multiple projects in various regions.
