BGP orders more ocean-bottom nodes for Middle East seismic survey

CGG subsidiary Sercel has sold 12,000 GPR300 ocean-bottom nodes to BGP for an offshore seismic survey in the Middle East.

MASSY, France — CGG subsidiary Sercel has sold 12,000 GPR300 ocean-bottom nodes (OBN) to BGP for an offshore seismic survey in the Middle East.

It follows the delivery last year of 18,000 GPR300 nodes to the company for the same project.

Liu HaiBo, BGP Offshore president, said, “First results have clearly shown the GPR300’s efficiency in the shallow-water environment…”
