ABU DHABI, UAE – ADNOC Logistics & Services and Atlantic Gulf & Pacific International (AG&P) have signed a charter agreement to use ADNOC’s LNG carrier Ish as a floating storage facility (FSU). Under the 11-year agreement, due to take effect this summer, AG&P will deploy the vessel for the Philippines’ first LNG import terminal (PHLNG) at Ilijan in Batangas Bay.

Last year, ADNOC and AG&P entered an arrangement for the supply of another FSU offshore India.

Ish vessel is one of eight LNG vessels operated by ADNOC L&S and currently under contract to ADNOC LNG.

The re-deployment could extend the life of the 137,315.55 cu m (4.85 MMcf) capacity vessel, built in 1995, by up to 15 years.

ADNOC L&S will be responsible for the supply, operations,  and maintenance of the FSU, with AG&P subsidiary Entect managing the conversion from an LNG carrier.

The PHLNG offshore/onshore import terminal will have an initial capacity of 5 MM metric tons/yr (5.5 MM tons).
