ROG.e 2024: Sodexo brings hospitality solutions to offshore professionals

Sodexo's new Offshore Living maritime hospitality experience aims to offer more comfort, safety and well-being to onboard personnel.

During the ROG.e event this week in Rio de Janeiro, Sodexo is releasing its Offshore Living maritime hospitality solution to the Brazilian market.

Working away from home is a reality for professionals who operate on vessels at sea, where distance from family and challenging conditions are a constant factor. Sodexo's new Offshore Living maritime hospitality experience aims to offer more comfort, safety and well-being to everyone on board. The solution is structured around four main pillars: food, accommodation, security and support services.

The new experience begins with a personalized and humanized welcome for crew members until the moment they disembark, followed by a carefully prepared gastronomic experience that is even more delicious, nutritious and sustainable—from the selection of ingredients, management of the supply chain, creation of the menu and preparation to the unique presentation of the dishes. These are meals that are adapted to the conditions and needs of offshore professionals, with options that meet different tastes and dietary restrictions.

Sodexo offers its consumers an experience that "features clean and organized spaces, meals prepared with gastronomic techniques, with plenty of flavor and which provide health benefits, and even laundry and concierge services," explained Cinthia Lira, Sodexo marketing director. "All of that is essential to ensuring that people have a more welcoming and comfortable environment during the period they are on board."

Sodexo says it is committed to sustainability, and the Offshore Living practices will be reinforced to minimize environmental impact throughout the chain, from food supply through waste reduction and maximum use of ingredients to waste disposal. Regarding facilities services, the company follows best practices in the use of sustainable products, professional equipment and low consumption, preserving human health and the environment, as well as optimizing financial resources and supporting risk management.


During the ROG.e 2024 event, Sodexo will present immersive activities and an autonomous micromarket at its booth P83. Additionally, Sodexo will be promoting the official launch of its Offshore Living maritime hospitality solution. In addition, Lilian Rauld, DEI manager at Sodexo, will be participating in a discussion on the role of technology in promoting diversity and accessibility within businesses on Sept. 25.
