TORONTO – CGX Energy and Frontera Energy Corp., two Canadian independents, plan to focus on exploration opportunities in the Corentyne block offshore Guyana, following initial positive results at the Kawa-1 well.

They are in discussions with Guyana’s government on their other offshore concession, the Demerara block.

Wireline logging results from Kawa-1 have confirmed previous LWD indications, with total net pay of 200 ft (61 m) encountered at multiple depths. Analysis continues of logs and samples.
