OSLO, Norway – BW Energy has responded to speculation that it may attempt to acquire the deepwater Golfinho oil field in the Espírito Santo basin offshore Brazil, which Petrobras is offering for sale.
The company said it had taken no formal decision to acquire any asset currently being marketed by Petrobras, but continued to assess opportunities for acquisitions, in line with its stated strategy.
