PERTH, Australia – BHP has secured a 124-day extension for evaluation and exploration periods over the Trion area offshore Mexico to respectively July 1, 2021 and July 1, 2022 respectively.
This follows suspension of activities in 2020 caused by COVID-19 restrictions.
Early last month, an ocean bottom node seismic survey finished over the deepwater Trion field, which formed part of BHP’s ongoing evaluation and analysis.
