Trident wraps up offshore Brazil fields acquisition

Petrobras has completed the sale of its interest in 10 shallow-water fields comprising the Pampo and Enchova Clusters to Trident Energy do Brasil.

RIO DE JANEIRO – Petrobras has completed the sale of its interest in 10 shallow-water fields comprising the Pampo and Enchova clusters to Trident Energy do Brasil.

The two clusters are in the Campos basin off the coast of Rio de Janeiro, and include the Enchova, Enchova Oeste, Marimbá, Piraúna, Bicudo, Bonito, Pampo, Trilha, Linguado and Badejo fields.

Their combined oil and gas production between April and June was around 22,000 boe/d through the PPM-1, PCE-1, P-8, and P-65 platforms.

Trident will operate with a 100% interest. The company concluded the transaction by paying Petrobras $365.4 million, with a contingent payment potentially to follow of $650 million.
