JERSEY, UK– Predator Oil & Gas Holdings has applied for a frontier exploration license (FEL) and a successor authorization to licensing option 16/26 offshore northwest Ireland.

The company has executed confidentiality agreements with several potential partners on drilling the Corrib South 18/25-3 exploration well, with a view to a subsea tieback to the offshore Corrib gas field subsea infrastructure 18 km (11.2 mi) distant in the event of a gas discovery.

Predator hopes to start drilling in 2020, subject to award of the FEL.

The planned well would target the same Triassic Sherwood sandstone that delivered on average 345 MMcf/d from the Corrib reservoir over much of 2017.

Predator’s best estimate of resources at Corrib South is 904 bcf recoverable.
