Reliance converts Colombia agreement to E&P contract

Reliance Industries Ltd. has converted two Technical Evaluation Agreements for offshore Colombia into production and exploration contracts.

MUMBAI, India –Reliance Industries Ltd. has converted two Technical Evaluation Agreements for offshore Colombia into production and exploration contracts with Agencia Nacional de Hydrocarburos. The blocks are Borojo North and Borojo South.

Each 4,000 sq km (1,544 sq mi) block is in water depths up to 1,500 m (4,921 ft). Reliance had conducted geological studies under its initial agreement and plans additional work plus up to two exploration wells in each block, depending upon results.
