NEW ORLEANS -- Gulf of Mexico operators continue to evacuate platforms and rigs in the path of Subtropical Depression 10.

According to the MMS' latest report, as of 11:30 a.m. CST today, personnel have been evacuated from 77 production platforms, equivalent to 9.2 % of all manned platforms, and personnel have been evacuated from 17 rigs, equivalent to 19.1 % of all rigs currently operating in the Gulf.

It is estimated that approximately 62.7 % of oil production and 30.8% of natural gas production in the GoM has been shut-in.

Subtropical Depression 10 is expected to develop into a tropical storm by tonight.
