PA Resources joins Mer Profond Sud permit in Congo

PA Resources AB has acquired 35% of the Mer Profond Sud exploration permit and also the Azurite field offshore the Republic of Congo from Murphy West Africa Ltd.

STOCKHOLM, Sweden -- PA Resources AB has acquired 35% of the Mer Profond Sud exploration permit and also the Azurite field offshore the Republic of Congo from Murphy West Africa Ltd.

The permit is in the Lower Congo basin adjacent to deepwater block 14 and the Haute Mer permit.

The Azurite field development program, approved by the Congo in June 2007, calls for an FDPSO with subsea wells.
