PARIS –Total has acquired 100% of two exploration permits off northwest Australia.
The blocks, WA-402P and WA-403P, cover 5,150 sq km (1,988 sq mi) and 5,685 sq km (2,195 sq mi) respectively some 200 km (124 mi) offshore in 100 m (328 ft) of wataer.
Total says exploration is scheduled to begin in 2008.
