MEO lines up rigs for Artemis

MELBOURNE -- MEO Australia aims to drill an exploration well later this year on the giant Artemis prospect in Western Australian offshore permit WA-360-P.

The company has been in discussions in recent weeks with drilling contractors, and has identified two suitable rig options. It expects to select its preferred contractor shortly.

MEO assesses mean prospective resources in two Jurassic-age reservoirs in the Artemis structure at 12 tcf, with a 32% chance of geological success
