LAFAYETTE, Louisiana – Cortec Manifold Systems (CMS) has been awarded the supply of compact manifold valves for the Shell Offshore Inc. Mars B production platform in the Gulf of Mexico.

CMS’s scope of supply will provide the platform with compact ball and check valves ranging from 2 to 10-in. in size and up to 15,000 psi in pressure rating. The supplied compact ball valves will include both CMS’s single and double ball valve models.

Mars B is Shell Offshore’s latest production platform in the Mississippi Canyon, approximately 130 mi south of New Orleans. These compact valves will be put into service on the platform’s main production manifold.

CMS’s compact valves will direct the flow of the oil and gas service, while at the same time saving critical space and weight.
