Offshore staff

(Cork) Island Oil & Gas' first operated well in Ireland's Celtic Sea has encountered gas-bearing sands at the prognosed stratigraphic level. Well 48/28-1 was drilled in 340 ft of wateron the Seven Heads West prospect by the semisub Petrolia.

The company and its partners Marathon and Sunningdale Oils are currently evaluating log data and formalizing the planned testing program, before submitting this to the Irish authorities.
