Subsea 7 celebrates apprentice success

Seven of Subsea 7 Inc.’s Drawing Office apprentices have completed HNC in mechanical engineering at Banff and Buchan College and one is a runner-up at the National Apprentice Competition, the company says in a release today during OE 2009.

ABERDEEN, UK – Seven of Subsea 7 Inc.’s Drawing Office apprentices have completed HNC in mechanical engineering at Banff and Buchan College and one is a runner-up at the National Apprentice Competition, the company says in a release today during OE 2009.

Subsea 7 offers Modern Apprenticeships in a variety of disciplines including mechanical and electrical engineering. The Apprenticeship scheme takes approximately four years to complete and incorporates formal qualifications (up to HND level) combined with work place assessment which is competency based.

“I am delighted at the efforts of our Apprentices and also for the support of their Managers and Colleagues who have helped them along the way,” said Steph McNeill, Subsea 7’s VP for the UK Region. “Their success is testament to the time and effort that goes into training and developing people within Subsea 7 and I look forward to watching their careers grow over the coming years.”
