Tullow Oil expects to bring the KA10 infill well in the UK southern North Sea onstream in March. The gas production well is drilled ahead and will produce through the Ketch platform.

In the same sector, Tullow says a decision on development options for the Cameron discovery will be taken during the first half of this year.

Last August, the jackupEnsco 92 drilled the 49/30b-10 well on the Foxtrot gas prospect as a potential tie-in to the Thames complex.

The target was the Upper Bunter sandstone formation, but the sands were found to be water wet. However, Tullow says the well has been suspended for potential re-entry at a later date of a deeper Rotliegendes play.

In the Dutch North Sea, the company acquired 1,600 sq km (618 sq mi) of 3D seismic data in 2010 over its operated E-quadrant acreage. A risked and ranked prospect inventory has since been drawn up, and the company has committed to a rig to drill the potential play-opening Vincent prospect in block E11.
