Spring moves for emergency preparedness offshore Norway

Norwegian E&P independent Spring Energy has signed a framework contract under which Acona will become its emergency preparedness services provider.

OSLO, Norway – Norwegian E&P independent Spring Energy has signed a framework contract under which Acona will become its emergency preparedness services provider.
Acona will assist in procedures for Spring’s drilling operations on the Norwegian continental shelf. The contractor will also provide second-line operational emergency response; emergency response training; and arrange emergency preparedness for onshore incidents/accidents on Spring’s behalf.
The contract has a three-year duration with two optional two-year extensions.
