Ireland extends access to Barryroe prospects
Offshore staff
DUBLIN, Ireland – Providence Resources (AIM:PRV) and partner Lansdowne Oil and Gas have been offered a new licensing option for offshore southern Ireland.
This relates to five part-blocks north and west of theBarryroe oil field, which the partners have been appraising ahead of a potential development.
Ireland’s Department of Communications, Energy, and Natural Resources has awarded a two-year term, after which the option may be converted into a standard exploration license with a drilling commitment.
The proposed work program involves evaluating the prospectivity of the Barryroe Basal Wealden sand play across the option area for potential satellite accumulations.
