Mozambique to offer more offshore blocks

MAPUTO, Mozambique – The Institute of National Petroleum (INP), on behalf of the government of the Republic of Mozambique, is preparing to announce the country’s 5th licensing round.

This will cover the offshoreRovuma, Zambezi Delta and Angoche areas, and onshore around the Pande-Temane concession and Palmeira areas. Fifteen blocks will be included, comprising around 29,652 sq mi (76,800 sq km) of acreage.

Details are due to be announced at the London Hilton Hotel (22 Park Lane) on Oct. 23, with bids closing on Jan. 20, 2015.
