Israel grants extension for offshore Ruth license

The Petroleum Commissioner of Energy and Water Resources in Israel has extended the validity of the offshore Ruth C/360 license until Feb. 28, 2016.

TEL AVIV, Israel– The Petroleum Commissioner of Energy and Water Resources in Israel has extended the validity of the offshore Ruth C/360 license until Feb. 28, 2016.

According to partner Delek Group, the extension remains subject to various conditions including submission of work plans and a plan for execution.

In addition, following the recent announcement of Karish and Tanin as natural gas discoveries, the Alon A/364 and Alon C/366 licensees will continue to act to extend the validity of these licenses in accordance with their rights under Israel’s Petroleum Law.

The partners in the Alon D/367 license have also requested an extension, although the commissioner has yet to make a decision in this case.
