Lundin Petroleum awarded UK exploration licenses

STOCKHOLM -- Lundin Petroleum has been awarded six exploration licenses in the UK's 25th Licensing Round of which five are operated licenses. The license interest ranges from 25% to 100%.

The awards cover 14 blocks or part-blocks in the central North Sea basins. Several prospects identified have seismic anomalies consistent with hydrocarbon accumulations in the region, the company says.
