Offshore staff
RIO DE JANEIRO – Barra Energia do Brasil Petróleo e Gás Ltd. reports it has agreed to acquire 10% of block BMS-8 offshore Brazil from Shell Brasil Petróleo Ltda. Water depth is 2,100 m (6,890 ft).
Petrobras is operator and holds 66% in the Santos basin block. Galp holds 14% and the agreement would leave Shell with 10%. Government approval is pending.
