Offshore staff
RIO DE JANEIRO – Petrobras Tanzania Ltd has farmed out 50% of its interest in blocks 5 and 6 offshore Tanzania to Shell Deepwater Tanzania BV.
The Indian Ocean blocks are in water depth of 600 to 3,000 m (1,968 to 9,842 ft). The Zeta-1 well is drilling on block 5, and is expected to be completed by year end. Interpretation work on 3D seismic data taken on 2,800 sq km (1,081 sq mi) in block 6 is ongoing.
