LONDON– Nobel Upstream has acquired a 7.59% non-operated interest in the Maclure oil and gas field from Royal Dutch Shell. Having received all necessary approvals, the transaction, first announced in February, closed today.
The Maclure field, located in theUK North Sea, was discovered in 1991 and put into production in 2002. Production in 2016 has averaged 8,200 boe/d. The field is operated by Maersk, which owns a 38.19% stake. TAQA and Apache hold 37.04% and 17.18%, respectively.
