Tanzania gets two bids

The Ministry of Energy and Minerals and the Tanzania Petroleum Development Corp. opened bids for the second Tanzania Offshore Licensing Round. Evaluation of the bids for the East African state is expected to take two months. In this round, 11 exploration blocks in deepwater and one shallow water block in the Indian Ocean were offered. In the first Tanzanian offshore licensing round, Petrobras was the only company that submitted a bid. Shell International and Global Energy Holdings were the only two to submit bids in the second round.
