KUALA LUMPUR, MalaysiaAnasuria Hibiscus UK (AHUK) has conditionally agreed to acquire license P2366 in the UK central North Sea from United Oil & Gas and Swift Exploration for up to $5 million.

The license blocks 15/18d and 15/19b, awarded in August 2018, are roughly 250 km (155 mi) northeast of Aberdeen and include the Crown field, discovered by ConocoPhillips in 1998, and thought to hold 4-8 MMbbl of oil.

Both blocks are also 12 km (7.5 mi) southeast of the Marigold oil field, AHUK acquired last October, along with the Sunflower oil field. The company aims to develop Crown via a single-well subsea tieback to facilities at Marigold.

The deal is expected to complete before year-end, subject to regulatory OGA approval.
