OSLO, NorwayPanoro Energy expects to spend around $65 million this year on its E&P interests in Africa this year.

Much of the planned expenditure relates to the Hibiscus/Ruche field development and drilling offshore Gabon. Ongoing activities include construction and installation of the Hibiscus Alpha platform; installation of the Hibiscus-Tortue pipeline; modifications to the Adolo FPSO, such as additional gas lift capacity; drilling first production wells and start-up of the Hibiscus field during 4Q.

Elsewhere, the company will participate in a program offshore Equatorial Guinea involving production optimization; well workovers, including ESP conversions and acid stimulations; various integrity and maintenance projects; a new gas compression project at Okume; and long-lead Items for future drilling and completion projects.

Finally, Panoro expects to allocate funds for drilling of the Gazania-1 exploration well offshore western South Africa.
