Brava Energia halted production again on Sept. 4 at the Papa Terra field in the Campos basin offshore Brazil, following a request from the ANP for information on the platform's operating systems.
Production at the field had only just resumed on Aug. 29, following a scheduled stoppage in May for maintenance. The aims were to improve the platform’s efficiency, reliability and operational safety.
Since the restart, production had stabilized at about 15,000 boe/d through six wells (PPT-12, PPT-16, PPT-17, PPT-22, PPT-37 and PPT-50). The PPT-51 well is undergoing an intervention to replace the pump.
Brava Energia is the new name of the company formed from the merger between 3R Petroleum and Enauta, which the companies agreed to earlier this year. The newly formed company will switch its name to Brava Energia and its shares will begin trading in the Sao Paulo stock exchange on Sept. 9 under the new ticker BRAV3.
