ABU DHABI, UAE — Al Yasat Petroleum has produced first oil from the offshore Belbazem Block, 120 km northwest of Abu Dhabi city.
Belbazem contains three discovered fields: Belbazem, Umm Al Salsal and Umm Al Dholou.
Al Yasat Petroleum, a joint venture (JV) between ADNOC and China National Petroleum Corp. (CNPC), has adopted operational synergies by using facilities of the nearby Satah Al Razboot Field operated by ADNOC Offshore.
The JV is also pioneering use of AI modeling and analysis tools across the offshore concession area, ADNOC said, including WellInsight, an AI tool developed by AIQ to analyze reservoir data.
Other technologies already in use at Al Yasat’s Bu Haseer offshore field will be deployed to optimize production and reservoir management. Production should ramp up steadily to 45,000 bbl/d of light crude and 27 MMcf/d of associated gas.
