Offshore staff

ABERDEEN, UK --Shell UK has awarded Wood Group a five-year facilities support contract for some of its North Sea production operations. The remit includes engineering design, maintenance and construction management services for onshore gas and liquids processing plants in St Fergus and Mossmorran, Scotland, plus offshore support for the Goldeneye platform.

Recently, Shell approved $700 million to extend the life of the two processing facilities, and the Fife Braefoot Bay loading terminal (also part of Wood's contract), through 2021.

The new contract, with options for two two-year extensions, will secure employment for over 400 Wood Group employees and subcontractors in Aberdeen and Glasgow.
