LONDON, UK --Granby Oil and Gas has completed the first phase of development operations on its Tristan NW gas field in the UK southern North Sea.
A flowline and control umbilical have been laid between the Perenco-operated Davy platform and the Tristan subsea well location in block 49/29b. The flowline has since been hydro-tested and trenched. Granby has also concluded transportation and processing agreements with the Davy partners.
The jackupEnsco 80 should start development drilling next month, leading to first gas early in 2008. The field has proven and probable reserves of 27.3 bcf.
In the same sector, Granby is also a partner in the 1989 Monkwell gas discovery. Two appraisal wells on the structure also tested gas, and a third may be drilled next year.
