OSLO, Norway --Hydro is making progress with its Njord Gas Export project in the Norwegian Sea. The heavy-lift vessel S7000 has delivered the two gas export modules to the Nord A platform, and the Acergy Piper has installed the flexible gas export riser and associated control cable.

Once one of the remaining production risers has been replaced, the two new modules will be connected to the topsides.

Other upcoming tasks include installation of a seabed valve, and the connection of the new 40-km (24.86-mi) gas export pipeline to the Aasgard transport system which will link the Njord field to the processing terminal in Kaarsto.

Njord gas is due to start flowing in October.
