OSLO, Norway --Talisman Energy has contracted Technip for subsea installations for its Yme field redevelopment in the Norwegian North Sea.
The €110 million ($149 million) contract includes engineering, procurement, fabrication, and installation of 36 km (22 mi) of production, water injection, and service rigid flowlines. Technip also will install umbilicals, pipe spools, subsea protection structures, and a manifold, as well as providing tie-ins, pipeline trenching, and rockdumping services.
Work will be managed from the company's operations and engineering center in Oslo, with the reel-lay vesselApache handling the main flowline installations. Offshore installations will take place during 2008-09. Yme will be produced through a new jack-up platform.
