SINGAPORE -- Singapore Petroleum Co. Ltd. says production has been delayed on the Oyong field. The production schedule was affected by the delay in sourcing equipment for the barge in the current tight engineering, procurement, and construction services market, SPC says.

The Oyong field is located approximately 45 km (28 mi) offshore in the shallow water of the Sampang production-sharing contract offshore East Java, Indonesia. The field was expected to begin production in June.

Australia's Santos Ltd. operates the Sampang PSC. SPC has a 40% interest in the Sampang PSC.
