BERGEN, Norway --Apache North Sea has contracted Kanfa Aragon to supply three gas dehydration systems for its Forties Alpha, Charlie, and Delta platforms.
The equipment will replace existing systems that have been in service since the early 1970s. The new systems will remove rest water content from Forties' produced gas. Water in the gas export or injection facilities can cause formation of ice and hydrate plugs, threatening damage to downstream equipment.
The contract value is more than $5.32 million.
