EnCana contracts Deep Panuke production facility

SCHIEDAM, The Netherlands -- EnCana Corp. has signed a letter of agreement with SBM Offshore for provision, leasing, and operation of a natural gas facility offshore Nova Scotia at Deep Panuke.
According to SBM, it will start detailed engineering and procurement targeting late 2010 as first production. The facility will be the third MOPU/MOPUstor for SBM Offshore.
The field is 175 km (109 mi) offshore in 44 m (144 ft) of water.
