ConocoPhillips gets OK to use Mærsk Gallant

ConocoPhillips Skandinavia AS has received consent from the Norwegian Petroleum Safety Authority to use the Mærsk Gallant for production drilling on Ekofisk.

STAVANGER, Norway --ConocoPhillips Skandinavia AS has received consent from the Norwegian Petroleum Safety Authority to use the Mærsk Gallant for production drilling on Ekofisk.

The new consent applies to production drilling on Ekofisk up to Dec. 31 2007. The company previously had approval to use the rig on Embla and Tor, and in 2/4-B.
