Norse Energy gives Manati update

Norse Energy Corp, in partnership with Petrobras and Queiroz Galvão Oil and Gas, reports that logging results for well #4 on the Manati field offshore Brazil showed a gross pay reservoir of 236 m (ft) and net pay of 192 m ( ft), 80% of which was on par with the previous wells.

LYSAKER, Norway – Norse Energy Corp, in partnership with Petrobras and Queiroz Galvão Oil and Gas, reports that logging results for well #4 on the Manati field offshore Brazil showed a gross pay reservoir of 236 m (ft) and net pay of 192 m ( ft), 80% of which was on par with the previous wells.

Plans are in place to drill ahead on well #5 once casing has been set at 600 m (ft).

On Jan. 10, 2007, the Manati partners received a production license from the Brazilian governmental agency IBAMA.

Manati gas will be transported to the São Fransisco gas plant, which is also owned by the partnership.
