ABERDEEN, UK --Talisman Energy has contracted Baker Hughes Centrilift to provide electric submersible pump (ESP) systems for its North Sea fields over the next five years.

The new contracts comprise dual-ESP systems and support services for the Auk, Beatrice, and Claymore fields in the UK sector, and power supplies and seven dual-ESP systems (including three subsea deployments) for Yme in the Norwegian sector.

Centrilift has worked with Talisman in the North Sea in the 1990s, but this will be its first experience working with the company offshore Norway.

Centrilift was the first specialist to install dual-ESP systems subsea, according to North Sea manager William Milne, and it has already provided dual systems for Talisman for its Beatrice and Claymore projects.
