ABERDEEN, UK --CNR International (CNRI) is set to sell its entire working interest in the Balmoral, Stirling, and Glamis fields in the UK North Sea to Oilexco.

Collectively, these fields produced around 1,800 b/d of oil net to CNRI in 2006. According to the company's managing director, Terry Jocksh, the disposal makes sense to both parties, as most of the liquids processed by the Balmoral floating production platform are from Oilexco's Brenda and Nicol tiebacks, which came onstream earlier this year.

Jocksch added that CNRI would continue to invest in and develop its remaining UK North Sea hubs at Ninian, Murchison, Banff, and the T-block fields.
