GUILDFORD, UK --ATP Oil & Gas (UK) has completed installation of the 27 km (17 mi) pipeline for its Wenlock gas development in southern North Sea block 49/12b. The jacket and deck were installed last year.

This month, the company expects to drill a horizontal well targeting a 150 m (492 ft) column of Rotliegend sandstone, and an exploration prospect in an adjacent upthrown fault block. First production from Wenlock is due in the second quarter of 2007.

Elsewhere in the southern sector, the third well in ATP's Tors (Kilmar and Garrow) development came onstream recently, and there are plans to drill two more wells.
