SYDNEY, Australia -- The jackup Aquamarine Driller has completed tieback and riser installations for the Tindalo-1 well offshore the Philippines.
Tindalo is under development in the SC 54A permit, operated by Nido Petroleum. The field will produce through the jackup at an initial rate of 7-15,000 b/d of oil.
Oil will be stored on a dynamically positioned FSO which is on site. According to Nido, in-field station-keeping trials were successful, including the use of a linked telemetry system installed on the rig. Production processing equipment also has been assembled on the rig.
Prior to production testing of Tindalo-1, the crude oil transfer hose will be connected to the rig and the FSO. Final installation, hook-up and pre-commissioning testing of production equipment on the rig will then be completed.
Nido still aims to deliver first oil by mid-2010.
