LYSAKER, Norway --Noble Energy has contracted Aker Solutions to provide a MEG unit for the Tamar project in the Mediterranean Sea. The NOK 300-million ($50.47-million) unit is estimated for delivery 2Q 2011.
Aker Process Systems AS will be the supplier of record. Noble already had contracted Aker for Tamar umbilicals.
Noble says Tamar, offshore Israel, it Noble's largest ever natural gas discovery with gross mean resources of 6.3 tcf. Initial expectations target first production from Tamar in 2012.
