HOUSTON -- Partners in the Independence Hub development continue to seek additional tieback opportunities to offset the fields’ declining production.

Natural gas volumes from the Anadarko-operated project in the Gulf of Mexico deepwater decreased to 717 Bbtu/d for the first quarter of this year from 922 Bbtu/d for 1Q 2009 due to lower production volumes as the result of depletion and downtime associated with the recompletion of the Mondo well, which was completed in March, according to Enterprise Products Partners.

Producers expect to recomplete one well and add a new well this year, with new wells to be connected in 2011.

Platform throughput reportedly reached its design capacity of 1 bcf/d at the end of 2007.

Enterprise Products Partners is 80% owner of the Independence Hub platform.
