HONG KONG -- Oil production has started from CNOOC’s BZ 29-4 field in the Bohai Bay offshore China.
The field, in an average water depth of 22 m (72 ft), is in the southern part of Bohai Bay. Development and production is tied mainly through the facilities on the producing BZ 28-2S field. At peak later this year, output from BZ 29-4 should reach 7,800 b/d.
Chen Bi, executive vice president of CNOOC, said: “We will continue to enhance our operation performance and ensure more projects are brought onstream within this year.”
